The oldest campus in Sri Lanka

The oldest campus in Sri Lanka, the University of Colombo is a sprawling comlex occupying over fifty acres of prime land in the heart of the city.
Today, "College House" (the administrative hub of the university) with its period architecture, is a well known landmark in the city.
In keeping with its motto "Buddhih Sarvatra Bhrajate" which means "Wisdom shines forth eveywhere", the University of Colombo strives to maintain academic excellence in all areas of study. The Medical and Science Faculties of the University are not only the oldest in the university system of Sri Lanka but are also arguably the best in terms of Faculty and resources.

About AGRES

The Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management, Wayamba University is planning to organize the 7th Agricultural Research Symposium, based on the research studies undertaken by the final year undergraduates of the faculty.
The objectives of the symposium are to:


Provide a forum for undergraduate students to present their findings, discuss and debate.
Promote research
Disseminate research findings in collaboration with other relevant institutions.
Stimulate interactions among students, staff and scientists of different institutions.

AGRES is an annual event of the Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management and Research projects under four disciplines namely, Horticulture and Landscape Gardening, Agri-business Management, Plantation Management and Biotechnology will be presented at the 7th AGRES which is scheduled to be held on 23rd and 24th of October, 2007.

AGRES

AGRES is an annual event of the Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management where the research projects of final year undergraduates are presented and evaluated. Research projects under four disciplines namely, Horticulture and Landscape Gardening, Agri-business Management, Plantation Management and Biotechnology.
